Dr Amy Mumford is an Educational Psychologist. Amy completed her Doctorate in Educational, Child and Community Psychology at the University of Exeter, where her thesis explored the concept of ‘Safe Spaces’ for children and young people. During her training, she spent over two years working within Gloucestershire Educational Psychology Service.
Amy has a particular interest in supporting children with English as an Additional Language or who are newly arrived in the country. She is also interested in how consultation can empower school staff and contributes to both the ELSA training programme and ELSA supervision.
Outside of Educational Psychology, Amy likes spending time with her Cavapoo 'Cheddar' (and any other animals she meets), reading fiction, walking and cooking.Dr Amy Mumford is an Educational Psychologist.
