Maggie Stowe

Associate Integrative Counsellor

Maggie Stowe is an integrative counsellor with a specialism in working with children and young people. Counselling is her 'encore' career. Having worked as primary teacher for over thirty years she developed an approach of nurture first, teach second. She began to work with some amazing professionals that were able to offer more specialist support to children who were experiencing difficulties and felt the need to continue this support.

Taking several years to gain her counselling qualifications, completing this part- time, she undertook her level 5 specialism with LRS training. She offers support to children with aspects such as anxiety, low mood, school related stress and self- esteem issues.  She also has some understanding of working with neurodiversity in CYP clients. She also has additional training in supporting clients with issues around loss, grief, and bereavement.

She works creatively using many different resources for her work with children and young people to help them to have a voice not necessarily by using talking. She is always client led, following their interests and what they think will work for them.
